I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TD (Waterloo, ON) in Apr 2015
Interview
one on one with the manager. it was pretty straight forward and more like an interactive session unlike the regular interview process we are all aware of..........................................................all went well and i am currently working there now just having issues with politics which isn't helpful for employee growth.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TD (Coquitlam, BC) in Mar 2016
Interview
The manager accidentally scheduled another person at the same time as me and sent the rescheduling email a little too late so there was two of us at the branch. She took me in first and had the other person stand in the main lobby area greeting people as they walked in to assess how comfortable the candidates are with interaction.
I was interviewed by the Manager of Client Service and a Financial Advisor. Very easy going interview, they were very friendly and tried to make the process as painless as possible. They asked standard interview questions along with one or two questions that are a little more personalized. And of course, they did ask me to sell them a highlighter near the end of the interview so make sure you know how to sell anything they'd ask you to sell them; they gave me a few minutes to prepare how I would approach answering this question.
After the interview I switched positions with the other applicant and talked to customers that would walk in. I tried asking them if there was any way I could assist them before they spoke with an actual employee to help guide them in the right direction. They do have someone watching you as you do this so do not think that it is pointless.
