I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at TD in Nov 2012
Interview
Long hiring process. First interview was a group interview, did a few group exercises to see if you stand out as well as how well you deal with customer (a lot of role play scenarios to show customer service). If employers were interested in you, you would get hired within a week for an interview with the managers. Once you get interviewed with the managers, you have to give another week or two for them to finish other interviews to decide. Once decided, they forward your information to HR who will then contact you within another week for a Documentation session. This is where you officially sign employment offers, documents etc for TD bank. After you sign the papers, you then give another 1-2 weeks for credit, criminal and references checks until you finally hear from the branch when you start training.
it's a secure and safe hiring process however it takes a long time to officially start training at a branch.
