Easy, chilling and the interviewer was friendly. The communication was clear and scheduling was efficient Once again, I’m grateful for the experience and the chance to learn more about the team and company.

Interview
I recently interviewed for a Sales Assistant position. The interview itself was a positive experience — the staff were welcoming, friendly, and made me feel comfortable. The questions were clear, and the overall atmosphere was professional.
At the end of the interview, I was told that if I did not hear back within a week, I had unfortunately not been successful. I specifically asked whether I would receive an email to confirm the outcome either way, and I was assured that I would.
However, after two weeks, I had not received any communication. I should not have had to chase the company for an update after being told I would receive an email. I contacted the store directly and was then informed that I had not been successful. I was told that I should have received an email, but I did not.
I was also informed that due to the high volume of applications, they are unable to provide individual feedback. While I understand that businesses receive many applications, applicants invest their time and effort preparing for interviews and attending them. Not offering feedback, combined with a lack of follow-up communication, does not reflect good business standards.
The lack of communication does not align with the values of inclusion and diversity that companies often promote. Even if there were technical issues, it is still unprofessional from a business perspective. There should be clear standards and processes in place to ensure that all candidates are properly informed of outcomes and that mistakes like this do not happen.
While the interview itself was positive, consistent and reliable communication is essential in maintaining trust and professionalism throughout the recruitment process.
Advice to Management:
Ensure all candidates receive the communication they are promised so that no one has to chase for an update.
