I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sunglass Hut (Sídney) in Sep 2019
Interview
It was a fun group interview. We heard about the company and its values then we were led into some group activities. First we had to speak to the person next to us and then introduce them to the group instead of ourselves. The second activity was we were split into groups of 5ish people and given a brand and had to plan and act a 30second commercial. Then we had quick one on one interviews
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Sunglass Hut (Los Angeles, CA) in Oct 2019
Interview
The interview process was fairly simple, nothing difficult. The store manager was very friendly and easy going. I showed up 10 mins beforehand and the interview took a maximum of 20 mins. It was casual but still very informative and I got scenario type questions as well.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you try to sell sunglasses of a different brand to a customer who is set on buying a particular brand? Tell me about yourself. Do you know what brand loyalty is?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sunglass Hut (Auckland, ) in Oct 2019
Interview
First I applied online. A few hours later, I got a phone call from their HR team asking me why I'd like the job and if I'm available for the recruitment drive.
Second, I attended the recruitment drive, which was a group interview where the store managers cheered and welcomed you in. There were 12 other people, so we sat at tables in groups of four. There are a couple of group activities, so it is a good idea to scope people out before you go in. The first activity was to introduce your partner by their name, favourite brand of sunglasses, and what makes them unique. The second activity was to come up with a skit to promote your allocated brand. In between the activities, the regional managers introduced Sunglass Hut and Luxottica as a company and described what it is like to be a part of the company and where it can take you. Afterwards, everyone is sent out of the room and then we did group interviews with the manager of our preferred store. I somehow missed my preferred store manager but this meant that I got to interview with one of the regional managers, who was incredibly lovely!
The next day, I got a call from one of the store managers whose store I indicated I'd like to work at, and we had our interview the following week!
