I was invited for an interview after Appling for the "Career Opportunities in The water Sector - Ireland" post on LinkedIn. The talent acquisition person who initially called me was very nice and thought I would be a good fit. However, they were extremely cagey about giving any real information about the role I would be interviewed for. I was however, told before by the talent acquisition person that I would be asked technical/scenario questions and they even gave me an example. However, I was asked none of these types of questions during the actual interview. Instead, I was asked very basic questions such as the one below. This felt a bit irrelevant considering i have been out of college for nearly 2 years and had real world work experience relevant to the role. The interviewers also came across as condescending towards the end of the interview and the whole experience felt like a waste of my time (I had taken annual leave to attend). The interview was also a lot shorter than what had been scheduled. Overall, I would not apply for roles at Stantec (Ryan Hanely) in the future. If they had been more open about the job beforehand this probably could have been avoided. Lesson learned.
