Stanford University interview questions

Had a phone interview, where they described the job to be pretty different when compared to the generic job listing. I still expressed interest and was invited for an in-person interview a week later. Communication and the phone interview was a pleasant experience. The in-person interview involved answering basic behavioral questions, goals, and your past lab experience. They said the offer is there if I wanted it and to let them know within the next few business days. Two days later, I send them an email to accept the position and received no reply. Two weeks later, I contacted them and they tell me that they decided to hire someone else. Always ask about the job duties and what you'll be doing, almost all lab listings are generic. I saw this same position relisted but the errors and incorrect statements regarding the position were still there.
