I recently had an unpleasant experience applying for a position at Catalyst, the newest department at Stanford Medicine. Unfortunately, the entire process left me feeling ghosted and disregarded. The initial interview was with a recruiter based remotely on the east coast and was disappointingly brief. She asked me a few generic questions about my knowledge of Catalyst, my range of skills, and my experience in supporting executives Following this, I diligently followed up to express my interest in the role. Despite my attempts, I received no response from the hiring team. Instead, I discovered that I was no longer under consideration for the position when I logged into the portal. This lack of communication was disappointing and unprofessional.
