Just be aware of current affairs and what impact they could have on the bank.
I applied online. I interviewed at Standard Bank Group (Cape Town) in Oct 2020
Interview
Took a little over 1 month. Applied in May. Got shortlisted for the first interview in October. They’re just trying to get a sense of who you are and if you understand the role you’ve applied for. Also know the big current affairs (in my year 2020 it’s Covid). If successful you do a psychometric test and you can’t prepare for that at all. If you’re successful you go to the final round which would be the assessment Centre. Honestly it was challenging but worth it. I definitely recommend from the beginning if you’re initially shortlisted reach out to someone on LinkedIn in the role that helped me a lot.
