Interview
I applied online for a new store opening in my town. A couple days later, I received an email asking to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview was about 5 minutes long and super simple. The woman interviewing me said I sound perfect for the job and will schedule me for an in-person interview. She then goes "oops." Courtesy clerk interviews were overfilled and she could not fit me in. She said I could interview for any other position if I was over 18, but since I'm only 16 courtesy clerk is the only position available. She told me my application was put on hold and they will call me if they're interested. I have tried to call 3 times to follow up and let them know I am very interested in the position but they have never answered. Basically, I didn't get the job. I just wish she would have checked to see if interviews were even available before calling me and wasting both of our time.

Interview
My manager is very laid back and friendly so it just felt like meeting up with a friend and having a conversation, I was VERY lucky. She was very into astrology and zodiac signs so we hit it off from the start because I'm interested in those subjects as well. I'm a very bubbly approachable person and she loved that because you have to be extremely friendly and approachable to be a vitamin clerk so customers don't feel too bashful about coming up to you to ask some personal questions on most occasions. At my location they did do a drug test and background test (I just turned 18 so I didn't even have a background) and you have to be 18 to get the job. I applied on a Monday online and they called me Thursday and my first day was a week later so it was a quick process! I LOVE my job!
