Tough Technical questions, very vague at times. 2 Technical Phone calls that go over your resume, experience, and multiple questions before an onsite Interview that takes the whole day in front of a large team of engineers
I applied online. I interviewed at SpaceX (Redmond, WA) in Mar 2024
Interview
I got a phone interview from an employee there. Very technical and to the point. No behavioral questions. The interviewer asked about the projects and past experience as well as fundamentals of engineering

Question 1
Given a cantilever beam loaded at the free end, how would the beam behave once the load is removed?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SpaceX
Interview
Initial HR phone screen followed by two rounds of technical interviews over the phone before being flown on-site for a day-long technical panel interview and presentation. The phone interviews were relatively simple, touching on basic first principles and discussing prior experience. However, the on-site interview was incredibly difficult, which was not helped by a surprisingly cold hiring team. Ultimately, I was informed about halfway through the day by an HR representative that my on-site interview was being cut short because the team was dissatisfied with my performance in on-site technical interviews and design challenges.
