It was a group interview of 4 of us and one manager was asking the questions while several others observed/took notes/etc. It was very conversational and not interrogative. She asked about life experiences, not even retail-related, that led you to the brand identity of Sephora which is heavily based on client service. Then, I was selected along with another girl for a one on one interview.

It was 2 interviews. one was a group interview and the other was alone with the manager. pretty standard, just wanted to know more about you. must give references and at least one must answer upon calling. got an orientation and some training and some meetings for the holidays, overall ok experience. it was ok

Interview
Very quick, first interview was a group interview straight forward.
Second interview was a 1 on 1 where the director gets a sense of your personality.
They did have me roll play once i passed the first interview to see how i could respond to a client behind the register.
