Interview
I applied online and within two weeks I received a call for a group interview. There were five of us being interview. It was very laid back, we would be asked a question and everybody would answer one at a time. A week later I received a call for a one to one interview with the store director. This interview was very informal. The interview was held at a nearby cafe. I found it to be very relaxing.

What would your prior employer say are your good qualities
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Sephora (Burlington, ON) in Apr 2016
Interview
I applied through the Sephora careers website where I uploaded my resume. I've been in retail for 4 years and only had 2 months of experience as a cosmetician for Shoppers.
I had a total of 3 interviews (1 on the phone and 2 face to face)
First Interview - Phone
This was just like a screening process, very easy only lasted about 10 minutes. You want to make sure that you sound very excited and bubbly on the phone, from there I got invited to a group interview for the following week.
Second Interview - Group
The group interview lasted about an hour but when you're actually in it, it doesn't feel that long at all! It was very relaxed an comfortable. They want to see that you're a team player and have an awesome personality so make sure to create conversation with the other girls or boys in the group interview with you, this will really impress them.At the end of the week I was called by the store director to set up my third interview.
Third Interview - Demo
This interview included myself along with the store director and assistant manager, it was a lot easier than the first interview. Don't get intimidated by the fact that you're getting interviewed by two people in management, they make you feel very welcome! Just like the first two interviews, I would advise to be confident, bubbly and outgoing. They also asked me to do a demo which just consisted of me selling a "product" to the assistant manager as if it were a real life consumer. They don't care if you have any product knowledge, what their looking for is how you talk to the consumer. I waited about 5 days until the store director called me again stating that I got the position and while on the phone she gave me my schedule (I started exactly a week after the phone call)
Sephora hires based on personality and experience in the beauty industry is a plus. They are looking for people who are long term and not just applying because they need PT work. so make sure that you are showing long - term commitment with the company.
REMEMBER TO BE YOURSELF!!! Your confidence will show through if you go in there like you already got the position (don't be cocky tho!)

Interview
It took them a month to even contact me. The first interview went amazing I loved the girl. A week passed and I got a call for a second interview with a different girl. This interview was tense and a little awkward, but it went okay. I got the feeling she didn't like me from the start. Once again I waited another week or two for a final interview, the demo. The entire interview the second girl and another person ignored me and just talked about there days and kept leaving and coming back, it was very unprofessional. I barely had brushes and got told off for not asking them to grab things, which wouldn't have been possible since they were never there. After the interview I was told I would receive a call next week. Two days later I received an automated response email saying they weren't hiring me. They waisted two months of my life for a job that doesn't even pay their artists a decent wage. After two months of contact I expected a phone call saying they were going another direction or an email just so I would know what happened.
