Than had to wait for district manager to sign off application.
*** IF YOU PLAN ON GOING TO SCHOOL, AND WANT WORK AT A FREE STANDING SEPHORA,
***DO NOT APPLY... SEPHORAS DISTRICT MANAGER DID NOT OFFER THE JOB BECAUSE I WAS PLANNING ON ATTENDING SCHOOL THE FOLLOWING SEMESTER...
THEY SAID IT WAS A "CONFLICT OF INTEREST"
For the company.
I had previously worked for a Sephora inside Jcpenney for three years and wanted to try out the actual Sephora Store because there is a lot more Opportunity to grow.
The manager said my experience was a plus. They just could not offer the job because I was going to school.
SO HOW UGLY OF YOU SEPHORA TO TELL PEOPLE BASICALLY THAT YOU CAN NOT WORK AT OUR STORE BECAUSE YOU WANT TO BETTER YOURSELF.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sephora (New York, NY) in Feb 2014
Interview
The manager that did the interview didn't ask many questions. It was more so to get a feel of your personality and how you meshed with hers. The questions that were asked though were basic "tell me when you did this and when you did that" questions. Interview was constantly interrupted and the manager kept reiterating that she wasn't in her role long and didn't know what she was doing. Heh. That's Sephora for ya!
