I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sears (Buena Park, CA) in Jun 2010
Interview
I applied online and immediately was asked to schedule an interview following the online application. I went in spoke with HR for about 10mins and was offered a position on the spot. I told them I would let them know the next day and the next day another position I wanted called and gave me an offer, which I accepted. I called Sears back and thanked them for offer but declined.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why do you feel you meet the qualifications of the position you are applying for?
Took like 20 mins. Very easy but questions seemed random. It also seemed like management had no idea they had interviews scheduled cuz there were several of us waiting for a long time
The interview process can vary depending on the company and position, but here’s a general idea of what to expect:
1. Application Review: After applying, they’ll review your resume. If they’re interested, you’ll get a call or email to set up an interview.
2. Phone/Video Interview: A lot of places do an initial screening over the phone or via video call. They’ll ask about your background, why you're interested in the job, and how your skills fit the role. It’s usually a casual chat, but make sure to prepare by knowing the company and job description.
3. In-Person Interview: If you pass the initial screening
Fill application form to apply and wait few days before submitting it to the company. Had to provide personal documents and references from previous employers. Initially was interviewed on a phone.
