I applied online. I interviewed at Sam's Club (Harlingen, TX) in May 2020
Interview
They literally told me once I got there that the position that I applied for was actually a cart pusher instead of a cashier, which is what the title of the job was labeled as. They claimed that it was just a mistake on the posting, but talking to other people that applied for the same "cashier" position at different times, this was obviously a lie and just a way to get people into the office since no one wanted to be a cart pusher. Moral of the story: If you're going to apply to Sam's, don't be surprised if you show up for an interview and the position isn't what you thought it would be.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sam's Club (Erie, PA) in Oct 2018
Interview
Before interview had to take a personality test. About a week after applying I got the interview. Very basic questions asked and was one and one with a manager. Heard back within 2 weeks.

Will you be able to try and sell upgrades and credit cards to members?
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Sam's Club in Jun 2020
Interview
The process was really fast and surprising. I applied to the job and then 2 days later I got a call saying they would email me the interview details. Didn't get any sort of email until 2 days later, with the email stating that they want to offer me a position and fill out paperwork online. I didn't have to attend any sort of interview, not even on the phone. I found this very surprising and maybe rare. Looks like they really needed people. I'm 16 from the date of writing this, so maybe my age had to do with me not getting an interview. All in all, the process was very fast. Only took 4 days to get a job offer.
