I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Sage (Vancouver, BC) in Mar 2025
Interview
Candidate-led interview with run-of-the-mill behavioural questions. The process was straightforward with 2 rounds of interviews - first with aproduct manager and the second with a product manager and a principal product manager.

Question 1
They asked me tell me about a time you improved a process.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Sage (Newcastle upon Tyne, England) in Apr 2025
Interview
It compromised of three stages: 1) a game to see if your personality aligned with what Sage was looking for. Did this back in Feb 2025. Then I did a recorded interview in March. I got invited to the Assessment Centre in Newcastle last week. This was made up of two group activities with other candidates and an interview. The staff were friendly but I reckon this was performative as their sheer lack of professionalism after the day was shocking. They set a clear expectation that we would find out who had been accepted or rejected by Friday 11th April. No response until I had to send follow up emails on Monday and received a rejection email today. This email was a copy-pasted rejection with the wrong job title, advertised for the marketing internship. For a company that claims to value empathy and human connection, this process felt detached and careless. If you expect candidates to prepare, perform, and engage professionally, offer them the same courtesy in return. Communication matters. Timeliness matters. And at the very least, double-check the role you’re rejecting them for. Treat applicants like people—not numbers in a pipeline. Absolutely ridiculous.
