      UX Designer Interview

      Dec 3, 2021

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Sabre in Nov 2021

      Interview

Applied and received a call back a week later. Soon after, set up the first interview with the recruiter and about a week and a half later that we did the design management interview. The virtual interview consisted of two parts, your typical interview questions and then the "design challenge" which consisted of them showing you two interface examples and ask you what you would change. They tell you that they encourage you to ask questions... But, that ends up being useless as the interviewers don't even know what they are showing you. So they could not even answer basic questions of whatever product they were showing. I also brought up the question of job security and about all the lay offs they have done. The interviewer answered professionally but their demeanor quickly turned sour and ended the interview immediately after answering the question. Saying that more layoffs probably would not happen but it was not certain that it wouldn't.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What kind of experiences you have from your career background, teamwork abilities and two "What would you change here?" as they show you two design examples.
