I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at S&P Global (Singapur) in Apr 2022
Interview
HR was pleasant enough when they reached out to me. I passed the first round and was invited to speak to the department director. I've never been interviewed by a more rude or dismissive person in my entire life. From the very start of the interview, the man belittled my experience, did not listen to my responses, and was generally unpleasant throughout the interview. He seemed to think that a commodity trader would do better in the role of an editor, even though he himself acknowledged that that had been problematic in the past. A complete waste of my time and a thoroughly unpleasant experience. Moreover, these people didn't even have the decency to contact me as to the outcome after several weeks and two follow up emails from me. While the company has a great reputation, I sincerely question the credibility and professionalism of the entire operation in Singapore.
It wasn't too difficult. Just simple questions related to my past work experience. And questions related to the job. Like of I was okay with working at night shift, etc.

Question 1
They asked me if I am okay working at night shift.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at S&P Global (Gurgaon, Haryana) in Apr 2025
Interview
It was good. They were friendly. Mostly asked behavioural and previous work-related questions. It helps to have a background in financial writing, but it is not a must. Would suggest ensuring you resume highlights your strengths, as most questions will be based on those.
The interview process was long. It started with a 30 minute screening interview with HR. Then there was a hiring test which can take up to 2 hours (unpaid). It includes a 30 minute maths test (fractions, weighted averages, ratios, that kind of thing), a 30 minute reporting test, a 30 minute writing test and then a 30 minute editing test. Once the test was approved and I passed, I then had a 45 minute interview with two managers over Zoom or Teams. The questions aren’t your typical ‘what are your strengths’ etc; rather, they are very tailored to the candidate and sometimes spontaneous based on what my answers were. I found this part of the interview very dynamic.
The downside was it took a lot of time to do the interview and prepare for it - basically a full working day. They also took weeks and weeks to get back to me with the final decision.
