I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Robert Half (Lombard, IL) in Jan 2022
Interview
Microsoft Team Interview, basic questions, reviewed job, location, contract term and hourly salary, what the job entailed, location of the position, what the benefits were and when they would kick in. They submit your resume to the company with your application and wait to see if the client is interested in settin gup an interview
4 interviews and then had to shadow someone in the role and have two additional debrief conversations. I felt that most of the process was not needed especially the shadowing. I had to drive out of the way to do so.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 8 months. I interviewed at Robert Half in Dec 2018
Interview
too many interviews....so do speak up if it is intolerable
Ask to interview with a couple of business partners....they will tell you the real story
Try to ask tough questions - what is the role of FP&A. Ask who owns core FP&A responsibilities.
Remember - if you feel like something is being hidden - it's for a reason
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell about work relationships (reason is that you will only survive if you suck up to management)
Almost all interviews rotated around this question....was not asked anything technical because Accounting management (they call it finance) knows nothing about Finance, and certainly nothing about FP&A
