Interview
I applied on-line and after 2 weeks I was offered and interview. I don't want to be nasty but the people who were interviewing us weren't nice. We had to work in groups first and then we had a group interview which I don't like. I personally think that the interviewers were picking new staff by judging their looks and nationalities,
I have over 5 years of experience of working in a hight street LUXURY company, but I was not picked. I don't regret it.
Applied for temporary position (about a month). Applied online and was invited for a 'recruitment event' about a month after applying, which was in two weeks. Turned up to the interview, there were about 15 people there. No one-on-one interviews, just a group one in which we had to talk about what we were wearing, what was good customer service, pick an outfit for a person the chose and explain it.

Interview
I applied for a weekend position online. The process took two months; one month to invite me to the interview and the interview was in another months time. I turn up to the interview only to hear that all the weekend positions have been taken because that was their last recruitment event. They asked me if they could put me down for two weekdays, I said no as I am a college student. She then said she couldn't interview me and that was that. They were clearly unorganised as I applied two months ago, so I should of been invited to an earlier interview. I specifically applied for a weekend job, the interviewer did not refer to my online application what so ever. Really disappointed, get your act together River Island.
