I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at River Island in Jan 2012
Interview
Met with manager who was friendly and kind. She asked me to spend ten minutes in ladies wear to pick out an outfit and the reaosns behind it. Pretty easy interview with standard questions like why do you want to work at river island, and what are your strengths and weaknesses etc. Good and shrt interview, found out quickly that i got the job.

Why did you choose this outfit and what would it be appropriate for?
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at River Island in Dec 2015
Interview
Group interview- everyone introduced themselves, we were asked questions and then split into groups to do brief roleplaying of customer and sales advisor, selling a product to the customer and then swapping over. We were then all asked our availability in terms of when we could start and what hours/days we could do.

Interview
Applied online and was invited to an interview. About 15 people there with 3 staff members asking questions such as 'if you were a sweet what would you be' etc and checked all our documentation. Then in pairs we had to 'sell' a product to our partners in front of the entire group. We indicated when we would be available. There wasn't really a chance to stand out. They said they would be in touch within a week. This is about 13th December. I finally was told they weren't progressing with my application. Well it was supposed to be a Christmas job, and I got that second email on 7th January. Very bad experience.
