I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at River Island (Kingston upon Thames, England)
Interview
First intereviewed by Manager, followed by intereview by regional manger. Asked my opinion on importance of fashion. A pitch line I would use to approach customers. My availability during stock take and sales periods. Asked how I would handle a situation where someone is seen stealing within the store.
We were in a staff room and we had to introduce ourselves to everyone. Then we had to explain why we wanted to work for River Island. We had to pretend to be a customer and then a sales advisor and try to up sell as much as possible. Then we had spoke to the people in charge individually to talk about availability etc.
They were looking at us the whole time but we were all being really loud so I don't know how they made the final decision.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at River Island (Solihull, England) in Dec 2015
Interview
It was a fairly straight forward process. I applied online, after which I got called for an interview in store. It started of with a group interview, followed by a group assessment where you had to put together an outfit with 2/3 other people who were interviewing too and lastly a one to one interview where you were asked competency based questions
