I applied online. I interviewed at Revolut in Dec 2018
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter who shared the interview steps with me and asked me if I was open to doing a take home task to be submitted after 7days . The task was essentially to redesign a product feature within Revolut. While I was suspicious about this, I decided to move ahead. I got a rejection email within a few hours without any feedback. I later contacted other candidates I found online and they shared a similar experience. Be careful not to accept the take home exercise, it is potentially free work for the in-house team given their conduct through the interview process.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear your interview experience was a negative one.
All problem sets featured in our home tasks for the purposes of vetting candidates are mirrors of past campaigns that have already gone to market and therefore are not suitable for use by the company. Intellectual Property of any content not already owned by Revolut is retained by the applicant.
We always share this with candidates before sending over the home task. Learning from your feedback, we will make sure we make this point even clearer in the future so we can avoid any concerns.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Revolut in Sep 2017
Interview
There are 5 rounds of the interview.
First - A basic 10-15 minute video conversation with the HR.
Second - A design test. Very different from other design tests I've given. Through this, they judge your design thinking abilities, user-centred design approach and possible workplace personality.
Third - Discussion with a product manager and a product designer where you explain the design test you submitted, your past work and how you deal with things at work regularly.
Fourth - Interview with the CEO (I didn't make it).
Fifth - Working with the team for a week to see if you fit in.
Revolut is extremely user friendly and works 24/7 to make themselves better everyday. Everyone enjoys what they do and I really admire that.
They're extremely diverse when it comes to hiring because they have one goal, which is to make banking better for its users so they look for the best talent around the globe.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Revolut (Londres, Inglaterra) in Oct 2018
Interview
The interview process had 3 phases:
- An initial interview, followed by a task. In this interview, a brief summary of experience, knowledge about Revolut and interest in the role were required. Fairly brief. Task was sent via email shortly after the interview.
- Follow-up interview and task review, scheduled on receipt of the completed design task. This was conducted by a Product Owner, and initially centred on explanation of the design solution submitted, then followed with more detailed questions about previous experience, learnings, and process. Approximately 1 hour, plus time to ask questions.
- Final interview. This was conducted by the CEO, and was a brief conversation followed by a review of two previous products. Approximately 30 minutes.
I really appreciated the responsiveness of the company representatives - they provided feedback within a few hours at the end of each interview (there were a few stages) and were very communicative.
