The job application has a short CTF-and-React project as a requirement. It's an interesting problem (albeit with awkwardly worded instructions).
Unfortunately, I received a form rejection letter after the application. I am unsure if the hiring team did not like the solution or my prior experience. Regardless, I am not amused by putting in the extra work and receiving a form letter.
Ramp can do better, and you can value your time more.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Find the value of DOM nodes that match this set of restrictions. It will be a link; follow it. Then build a React application that fetches the text from the link and displays it as if typed, one character per 500ms.
Finished the question with time to spare but was rejected nonetheless. Could tell that the interviewer who's a staff engineer has a huge ego and is massively insecure. That's the type of people in this company.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Ramp (New York, NY)
Interview
It was horrible. I did not get an interview even after they made me complete a code challenge just for the application which took a lot of time and effort.
