I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Ramp in May 2024
Interview
First there was a phone screen with the recruiter. After that I completed a 45 minute CodeSignal assignment. Very shortly after that was submitted, I was invited to a live coding interview. The next step after that would be a virtual onsite loop with 2 coding interviews, 1 system design interview, and 1 hiring manager interview.

Question 1
The live coding interview is roughly a Leetcode Hard level problem
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ramp (New York, NY)
Interview
Met with the recruiter and then scheduled a technical. The technical was over zoom.
Typical Leetcode hard question but very difficult to get in 45 minutes. Emphasis on running the code.
The role seemed like a perfect match for my skills and experience, particularly with my background in JavaScript and React
The application process was notably rigorous, featuring a technical challenge that was more comprehensive than many others I've encountered. This aspect of the process, which effectively integrated tech screening into the application, showcased Ramp's commitment to identifying highly skilled candidates efficiently. While I understand and appreciate the intention behind this approach, my experience post-submission did not align with my expectations set by the initial application's depth.
Upon completing the technical challenge, which demanded a significant investment of time and effort, I received a generic rejection email from a no-reply address. This outcome was particularly disappointing given the effort and the anticipation built around the role. A more personalized feedback mechanism, even if brief, would have been greatly appreciated and would reflect better on Ramp's values of excellence and respect towards potential employees.
