I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ramp in Aug 2023
Interview
There are 4 rounds.
Round 1: Phone interview with recruiter
Round 2: one BD manager
Round 3: Case study (with 2 other BD managers)
Round 4: Head of business development
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
It wasn't difficult, but it required a lot of prep work. (at least for me)
The case study asked to walk them through how you would go about prospecting for the company.
The person who interviewed me cut my interview short after I said I worked for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinians Refugees which was really disappointing and shocking.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ramp (New York, NY) in Nov 2024
Interview
First round was a recording of your self answering three questions: Why Ramp, Why You and Why Sales
The second round was with the recruiter and just went over the role itself and again why you think you are a fit, get into quota attainment salary etc.
The third round was with two sales managers and they ask about your background and a lot of scenario-based questions, "Name a time when you had to overcome a difficulty" "what makes you be able to book a meeting compared to other workers, what is your IT factor"
Fourth round was a Business Case where you get to do a cold email and mock cold call, they give you a blank slide after your email because after they tell you what's wrong with your emial, you get 5 minutes to draft up a new email off screen and present it to them. The mock cold call is seeing how you handle rejections and if you can land the meeting. They then tell you what you did wrong during your first call and allow you to do the call a second time. they have rebuttals like "you sound similar to our competitor brex" or "why are you calling" or " we are happy with what we have" They were a little more harsh in this fourth round not as nice as the first few rounds.
