The hiring process at Ramp takes an average of 7 days when considering 1 user submitted interviews across all job titles. Candidates applying for Ingeniero De Software had the quickest hiring process (on average 7 days), whereas Ingeniero De Software roles had the slowest hiring process (on average 7 days).
Three rounds, last round with two members of the hiring team. Pretty straightforward, though the amount of time they give you in the interview is minimal, especially when considering how much they're asking you to give input and vamp.
first, screening with a recruiter. mostly non-technical asking about your experience.
second, take home project where you are given a very basic app and asked to add functionality and improve the UI; I actually didn't mind this as there was no stress and you could be creative with the solution and what features to add.
third, 60 minute technical interview with mobile devs. you are asked to write a simple app, won't say exactly what, but to implement a common game.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Ramp (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2024
Interview
Recruiter call, take-home puzzle challenge, then a series of interviews over zoom. Mine was frontend focused
The recruiter was really nice and it felt like he wanted to see me succeed. It was a standard call where I share about myself and then learn about the company.
The puzzle challenge was unique, and mainly used to filter out candidates that aren't serious.
The engineer I did the 1-1 coding interview with was again really nice. However, the unique thing about the interview is that it was delivered as a body of text to my gmail. And the problem references google calendar in a unique way, so I had to navigate gmail and google calendar, while being watched on zoom.
If you're doing the react challenge be prepared for that and maybe stop casting for a bit.
