I applied online. I interviewed at Ramp in Jan 2025
Interview
This position is called Customer Activation Manager externally but internally CSM. This is not a true CSM role. From what I gathered you are an onboarding specialist focused on sales. The goal is to get customers to spend as much as they can within the first 90 days and the account manager owns the relationship after that.
The hiring manager was really nice but there was misalignment. I’ve only briefly done implementations so I think both the hiring manager and I realized this role may not be best suited for me.

Interview
I first had a recruiter call to discuss background and role fit. Then I had a live technical interview with an engineer that involved live coding. The problem focused on implementing a BFS-style traversal across nested APIs. The interviewer was friendly, collaborative, and made the environment comfortable to think through the problem out loud.

Interview
I received an email from Ramp via HireflixI and was invited to complete a video interview consisting of 3 recorded questions, each with a two-minute time limit and 1 opportunity to re-record. The process was straightforward and easy to access via a provided link. The email indicated the recruiting team would follow up within 24–48 hours, though I received an update several days later that they decided to move forward with other candidates.
