I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ramp
Interview
Disappointing hiring manager first round interview, which led me to formally withdraw from the process less than a day later. The questions were relatively straightforward, until the interviewer expressed concern over my current experience, despite the fact that it was explicit on my resume through both my job title and responsibilities. I felt a marked shift in their tone once realising this, which made me uncomfortable throughout the rest of the interview. At the end, when I was asking questions, my interviewer's responses were curt and uninterested.
After withdrawing, the recruiter reached out and requested to speak to me further. I accepted, but they never responded to my final email.
Interviews are a two-way street, and for such a small company, I expected better initial vetting on their end before I made time out of my work day to speak with the hiring manager for a lost cause.

I was reached out to directly by a member of the marketing team, who asked to set up time to talk with me. The conversation was informal in tone but significant in terms of the topics discussed, including professional experience, company growth, and career aspirations.
I was told that I would hear back within a week with next steps, and I never heard another word, positive or negative, even after reaching out again to follow up a month later.
