I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at RTX (Garland, TX) in Mar 2011
Interview
The interview was back-to-back with two managers: one per interview. Extremely laid back with more formal and typical questions. More time spent on college background than on anything technical. What little technical discussion there was revolved around discussions about general projects at the facility. Very cordial atmosphere which helped ease my mind quite a bit. I ended up receiving offers from both hiring managers.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at RTX
Interview
Very easy, they already know who they are going to hire because they have a list of backups. Not even necessary to apply on the company website. Would not recommend any instructor job if you aren't in the inner circle already.
