I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at RTX (Phoenix, AZ) in Nov 2015
Interview
I talked to numerous employees at a networking event. There, I was able to get an interview for the following day at the career fair. As I arrived to the booth for the interview, they did not seem to have an engineer on hand to interview me. I was interviewing for an internship position, however, did not know the department I was interviewing for. The questions were mostly behavioral, and also asked of my skills. Overall, the interview was more like a conversation, as the interviewer sat diagonally instead of in front of me, and I thought the interview went well. However, after months of waiting and e-mailing, I got no response.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at RTX (El Segundo, CA) in Apr 2016
Interview
The interview process was very quick and simple. The HR rep kept in close connection with me and was extremely responsive. I applied online, got a voicemail from the HR rep, scheduled an phone interview with my manager, did the interview, got the offer within a week or two after the interview.
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at RTX (Tewksbury, MA) in Nov 2016
Interview
Went to a university career fair, and the recruiter sent my resume to a Raytheon engineer. One week later, HR emailed me asking to apply to the job requisition so that they could set up an interview. I ended up interviewing with three managers from one department, and didn't hear back for another four weeks. I had to email the recruiter, after which I was assigned another interview with another manager. One week later, I received an email for an onsite interview and tour. The following week, I was asked to present my transcript via email, and two weeks later, I received the rejection letter.
