I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RH (Cincinnati, OH) in Apr 2017
Interview
I applied online and received a phone screening from the store manager a week later. Kind and friendly, but wanted me to interview for a lower position. I decided to continue the interview process to get a feeling for that specific store environment.
If I had been a customer, I would've walked out. I was not greeted for over 15 minute and when I finally was able to get someones attention, I was told they were busy and I needed to wait. (there was a single customer in the store) 5 or more minutes and I was finally able to let someone know I was here for an interview.
I proceeded to meet with one of the managers who left me sitting in silence while she responded to several text messages. I have now been in the store over 30 minutes with not a single question asked so I'm picking up that they don't really value others time. When she finally got the ball rolling, she asked why I left my current position. Fair enough. I responded with "the company culture wasn't the best fit for me." She asked me to expand and I simply stated that "I found the company unprofessional." She then asked me, "Who was unprofessional? I used to work there so I know everyone.".. I wanted to walk out right there.
The next 30 minutes I was forced to engage in frivolous gossip while figuring out how to politely leave. After being berated on my choice to leave a company that I didn't enjoy working at for almost 2 years, I asked why she had left that same company. She responded that she had conflict with another manager... so a confirmation of my former employers toxic environment.
I asked her why she enjoyed working for RH and she said she enjoyed it for the most part but didn't get along with everyone she worked with and hated retail....
I attempted to end the interview on a good note saying "thank you for speaking with me, I would love to be considered for any position here at RH." I quickly walked out and after reaching my car I decided that there was no way I would work for that RH location.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at RH (Corte Madera, CA) in Oct 2014
Interview
Fairly quick, consisted of two phone screenings followed by two in-person interviews. The role I interviewed for was the in B2B Sales (Contract) department, and I was mostly asked questions about my account management skills, previous workload, and experience working with various personalities in a fast paced environment. The process was fairly quick and I received my official offer a couple days after the second onsite interview.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RH in Feb 2017
Interview
Had a brief phone call discussing experience, and what I would be looking for in a salary. Afterwards, we set up an in person group interview.
The in person interview was OK, but it took forever. There were 4 of us, and we each answered about 5 very basic questions questions, and it took almost 2 hours.
The following day, I heard back that they wanted me to come in for another in person interview. We scheduled a 6 PM interview the following week. I arrived at 5:40, and was met by who I previously interviewed with. I was told to just make myself comfortable and when my interviewer was ready, she would meet me. She didn't meet me until 6:40. I would have left at 6:30 had it not been pouring outside. By this point I was upset, and we had a brief 15 minute discussion. I was aggravated, and I'm guessing they could tell. The following day I received an automated email saying they were interested in someone else.
Disappointed that they really don't value their candidates time.
