RH Design Consultant interview questions

Had initial interview then asked me to consider a different position. Then had 2 additional interviews for the new position, then decided to go w a different candidate. I was asked to do my first interview the night before at 9pm. I was unsure why they would of asked me so late and with short notice.

I had 4 interviews throughout the span of one month - 3 zoom interviews and 1 in person (I'm out of state). Everyone I met was kind and encouraging. After making it to the final stage I was almost certain I had gotten not the job I applied for, but a curator position instead. Each person I spoke with told me that they would love to see me in that position. Shortly after the last interview I was rejected from the Consultant position, but didn't elaborate on whether or not I was still being considered for the Curator position. I emailed my main contact several times and received vague responses until they ghosted me entirely.
