The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Qualcomm (San Diego, CA) in Jan 2010
Interview
the panel interview is not that difficult as everyone is nice and friendly but after talking to them, I felt I'm not a perfect "fit" for this position. As I didn't get the offer in the end, I assume they felt the same way.Questions includes: Why qualcomm? why this team? ~~why you want to work in this area? even why san diego~~~Basically, all the questions are based on my resume
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Qualcomm (San Diego, CA) in Mar 2010
Interview
Applied online and was contacted by a staffing coordinator. The interviewer was good and encouraging. Asked Qs in c++, c and some concepts from networking and some previous project related Qs from resume. There were 3 to 4 Qs for which algorithm or verbal solution was expected:
1] reversing a string
2] multiply a number with 7 without using * or + operators
3] finding a loop at the end of single linked list
the experience was good and waiting for the result...

Interview
Two rounds of phone interview followed by on-site interview. Phone interviews went well and invited for on-site interview. Then 6 rounds of 1:1 interview with different levels of people in the same team. Most of the questions were from my resume. None of the interviewers were intimidating. Eventhough the focus was supposed to be on DSP, the interviewers asked lot of questions on programming.I did well in all the interviews. Still I did not get offer. The reason they gave shocking than anything else. I seriously doubt their hiring process and one of the interviewers doesn't seems to know anything in DSP.
