I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Qualcomm in Feb 2010
Interview
I got a short phone interview and then went flew onsite. Most of the people were cool, but I had one really bad interviewer. She was asking stuff that I didn't even put on my resume. The questions weren't very hard, but still unexpected. The general attitude of everyone there was not very good. It seems like they were all stressed out.
The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Qualcomm (Santa Clara, CA) in Mar 2010
Interview
Passed Phone interview. Asked questions about DSP assembly. How do you perform a modulo without using the modulo operator? Asked about macm and how it handles 32bit multiplication.
Next step was an onsite interview. About 6 hours. Asked questions about wireless theory, space-time block codes, OFDM, MIMO and fourier analysis. Had to write a C function that reversed bits given two indices in an int. More C questions about multi-threading, some questions about hardware and assembly languages.

Interview
Mainly just a phone interview. Interview started late but did go about an hour. The interview was with a director who did all of the talking although there were 4 other people in the room at the time. Phone interview was typical, simple questions about yield and such and some device questions. Was told at the end of the interview that they would get back to me in about 1-2 weeks. Presently waiting for their return call to schedule an onsite interview.
