      Graduate Program Interview

      Feb 7, 2019
      Anonymous employee
      Highland Heights, Campbell, KY
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Prysmian (Highland Heights, Campbell, KY) in Jan 2019

      Interview

The whole process involves a number of steps that can take 4-6 months to get through: 1- Application/resume submittal 2- Online assessments: for someone in the United States, this involves Verbal Reasoning (in English), Numerical Reasoning, and Personality through SHL. Resources can be found online for free or paid. 3- In-person interview: this is an 8-hour process that is three steps. You are observed the entire time by several people. In my case, there were nine candidates including myself, with a mixture of business and engineering majors at both undergraduate and graduate level. 3a - First was a presentation on the company and the program, plus an opportunity to ask questions. 3b- Second is a group activity. The activity involves a case scenario that you're given. You'll have some time to study it and make notes or a presentation on your own for your recommendation. Then you'll have time to work as a group and come to a consensus. Then everyone presents what they came up with on their own. Again, you are observed with notes taken. They're looking for creative thinking, being able to work as a team, and being able to lead. 3c- Lastly is a personal interview with just you and two of the people who have been observing you. This happens regardless of how you did in the group activity. This is more of the traditional interview format. Talk about your resume, your experience, your goals, etc. They also ask if you have a preference for placement abroad if you get the job. For engineers, this is NOT a technical interview. I was not asked to complete any tasks. 4- If they liked you during the 8-hour interview, the next step is a Skype interview with HR in Milan. If you're located in Europe, this is most likely in-person. 5- Job offer (or not). From step 1 to 5, it took approximately 5 months, starting with a career fair. Once getting to the interview (step 3), things went by much faster.

      Interview

Prysmian Ghosting Culture – My Bad Experience I applied to Prysmian’s graduate program America zone in July 2025. The process was very slow and took almost six months. I did the final interview with the program coordinator in December 2025. She said I would hear back in a few days. Before that, I spent a lot of time: almost one hour with the recruiter at first, then 2.5 hours in a group interview with other candidates on case studies, the SHL test online, an HR interview and the final interview with the program coordinator from Italy. It all seemed to go well and the HR ladies were very nice to be honest. Which makes it even worse that they ghosted me. Now it has been over a month, and nothing. No reply to my two follow-up emails where I mentioned the timeline she gave. Total silence. This is frustrating, especially when you have other job offers waiting and need to know to move on. A short email saying no would have been enough. Prysmian wasted months of my time. Skip them if you want better communication. The ghosting culture is awful and from the comments, I can see it didn't happen just to me.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Prysmian (Milán) in Sep 2025

      Interview
