      Graduate Program Interview

      May 3, 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Lexington, SC
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Prysmian (Lexington, SC) in Dec 2017

      Interview

After an initial resume screening, selected candidates were invited to complete an online assessment. The assessment was similar in structure to the SAT, but also included a Myers Briggs style personality test. You can tell they are looking for a specific skill set. You do not receive your results on these tests. I was contacted after the deadline for submitting the online assessment, and invited to an in person interview day at the headquarters. I was unable to attend the initial date and HR was flexible in finding a time that worked for both parties. The interview day was long. I arrived at 8am and did not leave until after 5pm. You spend the day interacting with other interviewees, as well as people currently in the Graduate Program. I had three 1:1 interviews, all with VPs of various functions. At the point of the 1:1 interviews, it was clear that they were not trying to differentiate talent in the interviews, but rather a specific personality which is most suited for the program. There is also a group case study in front of a panel, where leadership and collaboration are the obvious characteristics they are looking for in candidates. The case is structured similarly to those used in interviews at consulting firms. I received an offer two days after the interview day.

Prysmian Ghosting Culture – My Bad Experience I applied to Prysmian’s graduate program America zone in July 2025. The process was very slow and took almost six months. I did the final interview with the program coordinator in December 2025. She said I would hear back in a few days. Before that, I spent a lot of time: almost one hour with the recruiter at first, then 2.5 hours in a group interview with other candidates on case studies, the SHL test online, an HR interview and the final interview with the program coordinator from Italy. It all seemed to go well and the HR ladies were very nice to be honest. Which makes it even worse that they ghosted me. Now it has been over a month, and nothing. No reply to my two follow-up emails where I mentioned the timeline she gave. Total silence. This is frustrating, especially when you have other job offers waiting and need to know to move on. A short email saying no would have been enough. Prysmian wasted months of my time. Skip them if you want better communication. The ghosting culture is awful and from the comments, I can see it didn't happen just to me.

      Milán
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Prysmian (Milán) in Sep 2025

      Interview
