Interview
Mission Hospital interview process was very thorough. I was first contacted by someone from St. Joseph Health to schedule a phone interview with a recruiter. The phone interview consisted of questions regarding work history, mission and vision of the hospital, etc. Once the interview was completed, the recruiter scheduled an on-site interview with the hiring manager and HR. They also completed a reference check prior to an on-site interview.

Interview
First round was phone interview, then if you are selected, they will contact you for on site interview, more likely with a panel of 2-3 hiring managers. You should prepare for both interviews. Questions can include case senarios similar to nursing school critical thinking tests. Know your nursing stuff and know the types of patient conditions you will be working with. Good luck!

Interview
Cake walk for anyone with experience in the field. The background check took a long time and a lot of paperwork because they wanted copies of old pay stubs to verify previous experience. The people in Human Resources were readily available to help. The recruiter called me and set up a few baseline questions to get me started, such as how I felt about this line of work. Then there was an online application to fill out. The drug screen, the interview, and the background check. I went to the interview without any make up or jewelry. I wore a nursing uniform to the interview but street clothes are worn by most of the staff.
