I had a single interview with my direct supervisor and the Director of Business Analytics that lasted about 45 minutes. The conversation was mostly behavioral—they asked standard questions about how I work in a team, manage projects, and communicate across departments, along with a few about my technical background. Overall, it was straightforward, conversational, and friendly.
The only questions that caught me slightly off guard were situational ones. For example, I was asked how I would handle a colleague misgendering someone by using incorrect pronouns, and about my commitment to Planned Parenthood’s mission. These made sense given the organization’s focus on gender-affirming care and creating an inclusive environment. I appreciated that they were asked, but I did need a moment to think through my responses.
