Pep Boys Service Manager interview questions

Contacted Area Manager directly after submitting info on Corp web-site. Response arrived by phone about a week later. Interviewed at potential work location. Softball questions and little of the BS encountered in hiring processes of other large corp. employers. Even though interview occurred about 3 weeks after application submitted to corp. web-site, Area Manager appeared to be working off the information that had been emailed to him directly by me. It seemed that Area Manager had the ability to make a hiring decision on the spot but may have chosen to wait until the application submitted to his corp. office made it's way through the normal channels. He did ask about salary requirements and offered a ball-park number that could be expected.
