Asked me questions, but once entering the shop realized I was asked all the wrong questions. I was told I would basically be doing live tech work, on second day of working asked to diagnose a car for intermittent auto on/off system failure.

Question 1
What experience as a mechanic did I have. Did I have my own tools, what was my availability. When could I start and did I think I could upscale services in cars very well.
I interviewed at Pep Boys (Massachusetts Avenue Heights)
Interview
I came in, we sat down and they asked questions. It was a light atmosphere but they were unusually cheery. It was off putting at futurist but the overall interview was okay.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Pep Boys (Bala Cynwyd, PA) in Mar 2024
Interview
I applied and was contacted by 3rd party 'recruiter' (that supposedly is friends with two Senior Managers in charge of this role). We scheduled an initial interview via zoom that lasted roughly 40 minutes.
It felt like the conversation went well, I was not guaranteed a 2nd round, but he told me that the team would like me and he asked me to make some minor adjustments to my resume, which I did within a one day timeframe.
"Thank you - you'll hear from me soon!" was the last response I received. Since then, he has ghosted me. He did not respond to my emails or even a brief voice message I left. All I want to know is if I am officially not being considered any longer, which would be fine...I'm just trying to close the loop.
Really turned off by how unprofessional this turned out. But given the poor reviews all over the PB Glassdoor, I am not surprised. They clearly have a employee and candidate experience issue that they are not ready to resolve.

I was asked about using data to inform hiring decisions and also about my experience managing a team of remote-based recruiters.
