Tough lack of communication in this process. I had my 5th (!!) interview for a role scheduled, and the interviewer no-showed our interview time. I followed up with the recruiter, who didn't have an explanation but got me rescheduled. The morning of the rescheduled interview, it was quietly cancelled. I pinged the recruiter again, and an hour later I received an email that they were moving forward with other candidates.

Interview
The interview process is smooth with three rounds technically. Last round is with hiring manager. The code question isn't too hard and the overall communication is quite good. In the final round, the manager asked some system design questions and also asked me whether I want to focus on the backend or frontend.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PayPal (San Jose, CA) in May 2025

One-time online assessment
The recruiter gave instruction regarding the online assessment, but there was no clear topics, there were some EJB questions in the assessment which recruiter did not mentioned.
If they are using EJB, they should clearly mentioned the the process
