I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Oxfam in Jun 2022
Interview
I recently applied for a consultancy with OXFAM and got invited to an interview where I was roasted for 1h instead of the planned 30’ only to be told in the end that they only have a 5th of what I had quoted for the services requested.
A month later, they asked to meet with me after a new quote with the minimum of products I would deliver for their budget.
During that 30’ they said I would be receiving the contract and that they really wanted and needed to work with me urgently.
10 days later, having not heard up from them with the contract yet after a follow up I wrote asking for an update and received a standardized email that I hadn’t been selected.
I feel like a lot of my time went wasted.

Question 1
Is there anything around verbal offering of such projects that could be binding for Oxfam or other international NGOs?
It was a remote interview. fairly straightforward. The interviewee asked really typical questions and it kinda sounded like they were reading from a script. Fund raising is hard, but the recruitment could be a bit more personalized for the applicants, who are willing to take on the responsibilities of raising funds.
I applied on their portal through LinkedIn. a few weeks before the start date an email was sent to my account from an unknown account asking if I was ready for an interview. Then the date and time were selected. the whole process was normal but I never received any follow-up email or conversation.
