The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Oracle (Chicago, IL) in Dec 2023
Interview
Very standard interview process. Very friendly people. I was stressing about the role play portion however they were very transparent on what they were looking for in the documents provided by the company. Mine was a coffee shop selling a subscription to a client. Very standard + easy.

Interview
I recently went through the interview process for the Sales Development Representative (SDR) position at Oracle. Overall, the process was well-organized and professional.
The first step involved a recruiter reaching out and scheduling a phone screen. They were very clear about the role expectations and what they were looking for. The phone screen focused on my communication skills, motivation, and a general overview of my experience. It felt more like a conversation than a formal interview, which was nice. However, if they don’t feel you're a good fit, you may not hear back—so it’s important to make a strong first impression here.
If the recruiter likes what you say, you move on to the second round. This is where things get more intense. The second round consisted of a mock sales call and behavioral interview questions with two interviewers. The mock call tested my ability to handle objections, think on my feet, and engage with a "prospective client." The behavioral questions were mostly centered on teamwork, adaptability, and handling challenges.
The interviewers were approachable and gave constructive feedback throughout the process. I appreciated the insights they shared about the role and company culture, which made the experience feel like a two-way street.
Key Takeaways:
Be prepared to showcase your communication and problem-solving skills.
The mock call is a critical component, so practice your pitch and objection-handling techniques.
Behavioral questions dig into your past experiences, so have examples ready.
Improvement Suggestions:
If you’re not selected to move forward, Oracle does not follow up to let you know, which can be a bit frustrating. Even a quick rejection email would have made the experience more complete.
Overall Impression:
The process was efficient and straightforward, with clear expectations at each stage. The opportunity to demonstrate your skills through a mock call was particularly engaging. If Oracle improved communication with candidates they decide not to move forward with, it would make the process even better.
