I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at OpenTable in Jul 2021
Interview
The interview process for me was short as we decided the pay was not a good match.
I will say they were incredibly fast in responding to my application and set up an interview for the same week.
The interview was standard - tell me more about your background and why you applied to OpenTable? What skills can you bring to the team?
I was shocked to hear that the salary for an Account Executive in Washington DC was a maximum offer of $50K/year. When I did research on the role on Glassdoor many reported base salaries of up to $62K/yr which is much more aligned with what I expected to start off with given my restaurant experience. I respectfully declined to continue the interview process as the base pay was too much of a pay cut to legitimize moving companies.

Q: What previous skills make you a good fit for this role?
Q: Do you have any experience selling to restaurants in the DC market? Were these large restaurant groups, or small businesses?

Interview
I hardly write reviews. But my recent experience was so bad. 1. They sent you a broken repo 2 mins before and insists on using it. 2. They want you to set up repo, write tests, solve algorithms, fix repo issues, memorizing all es6, react classes and functions syntax, find out command lines(not telling if modified) all in one shot. 3. After seeing you struggle, the interviewer just smiled and wished you good luck. 3. The manager openly discriminates your race and gender as if in a third world county.

Question 1
Please set up everything and with a very little time left, do algorithms, remember all syntax, do UI, do event handler, run tests, dont use chrome, fix repo issues, guess our command lines, endure manager racial and gender discrimination? Can you do that?

Interview
Straight forward interview experience. Recruiter and hiring manager were very communicative and clear about what to expect in each round. I am very impressed especially by how much each helped prepare me for each round of the interview. By far, the best experience and guidance I have had compared to any other interview experience.
1. Call with recruiter.
2. Call with hiring manager.
3. Take home assignment and present to panel of stakeholders.
4. Final round with 1:1's with each stakeholder.
