I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Old Navy in Jul 2014
Interview
I went to a hiring event where we played get to know you games and pick out outfits for designated occasions. I went to their website before i left and looked up some facts about the company. The lady conducting the hiring event was impressed with my knowledge. Got called around 3 days later for a second interview and was really laid back. We laughed and talked a lot and it went well. Got a call a day later for the job.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Old Navy (Little Rock, AR) in Jul 2014
Interview
I filled out an online application and called two days after to do a follow up. The hiring manager took my name and said they would be looking at all applications in two week so to expect a call then. A month later they called back, had a VERY BREIF ( only one question "why old navy?") phone interview that ended with the manager scheduling a group interview the next day. At the interview we brought items that represented ourselves and did a little show and tell answered basic questions and had to sell a given item to the manager. It was pretty laid back but I'd advice anyone to just try your best not to be nervous and let your personality show. I was called the next day for a second interview with the general manager and the interview with him the next day was also a group interview. It seemed much more laid back than the first and more fun. This interview didn't really involve more of conversation type questions and style and the key objective here was to definitely let you outgoing and fun personality show while seeming put together and professional at the same time. Both interviews lasted 2 hours. The second interview was on the 9th and I was offered the job on the 13th

Tell me about a time you had a great shopping/customer service experience

Interview
You apply online, it's a good idea to apply then go in the store and introduce yourself to the hiring manager or store manager. You'll get a call to come in for a group interview, if you don't get a call within a month I recommend you call the store. The interviews are typically group interviews, which aren't as intimidating as you think. They'll show you the floor and have you work on the floor. You'll also be asked questions as a group, try to be as creative as possible, not generic. Communicating with customers is key, if you're folding clothes the whole time and not recognizing the customers, don't expect to get the job.

Question 1
Questions have changed since I got hired but I remember being asked to 'sell' an item to the managers that were interviewing me. Also to explain how I solved a problem in a previous job, if you didn't have a previous job you could always talk about a club, internship, volunteering, etc.
