I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (New York, NY) in Jun 2019
Interview
The process took about a month and a half from the moment I applied for the job. I got an unexpected phone call/phone screening while at work and then was invited for the interview day for multiple units. The actual interview day was rather nerve racking as there are about 10 round tables with different areas of health, such as ICU/CCU, ED, Peds, Medsurg (oncology, surgical, telemetry, etc), and women and child health.
There were a lot of RN's waiting around the tables until it was their name to be called in which we handed our resume to the coordinator and they brought us to the table to be interviewed by multiple nurse managers from various units. That was quite nerve racking as I knew the nurses who were close by my table could hear my entire interivew.
Luckily, the nurse managers were all very kind and personable, thus making the experience a positive one.
