NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital interview questions

Submitted an application online, was contacted about a week later. Talked with the recruiter and was told the chief PA would like to interview me and that in the next 2 weeks someone would reach out to schedule it. Nobody did, so I contacted again and then the interview was immediately scheduled. The interview was pleasant, around a one hour conversation with some scenario questions. About two weeks later I hear that they would like to move on to the next step and requested my references. My 5 references respond within around 2 days; however, after that, the recruiter completely ghosted me. Called the recruiter 2 times, sent maybe 2 emails within the span of a month, no reply. Two other positions within the NYP health system still interviewed me during this wait time, but once they realized I was in the reference phase for another position under NYP they no longer considered me for the other positions. Very confusing experience and super unprofessional.

I got an email to schedule an interview after applying 2 weeks ago. I scheduled it the week following. It was very friendly. HR was very through with the interview. Then HM asked a few general questions which lead to how the unit is set up.
