I went through four rounds of interviews with New York Life, each one spaced weeks apart — the entire process dragged on for months. I put in a lot of time and effort preparing, received positive feedback after every round, and was told to expect next steps… only to be ghosted completely.
After waiting weeks with no response, I reached out to multiple recruiters I had been communicating with — not one replied. No closure, no courtesy, nothing.
It’s unacceptable for a company of this size to treat candidates this way. The lack of communication and basic professionalism speaks volumes about their internal culture and respect for people’s time.
If this is how New York Life handles recruiting, I can’t imagine how frustrating it must be to actually work there. Candidates deserve better.
