I applied online. I interviewed at New York Life (Boston, MA) in Nov 2012
Interview
It is a long interview process (about different interviews). I am scheduled for a second interview with a sr partner. First interview lasted almost two hours and it was with a former sales agent that decided to go into management. So far both interviews have gone well, people are very pleasant and it seems that they want to make sure that you are fully aware of the cons and pros of becoming a financial service consultant (sales person)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is your biggest achievment. Interview questions are traditional (non behavioral interview questions).
An AI bot was asking me questions, very unpersonalized. It would have been nice to at least speak to someone and have the opportunity to showcase my abilities. Do not Recommend!
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at New York Life (Huntsville, AL) in May 2024
Interview
There was an online assessment and a series of in office interviews. However there were lots of important information that was glossed over or not revealed, There are a lot of cost you most cover in the first year even though you are only commission, example; you have to pay to use an office if their building space. I did original except an offer, I later left due to the miss information presented during the interview process.
